How to manage Email Accounts in Plesk

There are different options to access the email on the web hosting account. Webmail is the option provided by most web hosts to access the emails.

The most popular webmail clients provided are Horde.

How to create email accounts in Plesk

To add a new email address, perform the following steps:
1. Log in to your Parallels Plesk Panel.
2. Click on the Mail Tab.
3. Click on Create E-Mail Address icon.
4. Type the first part of the email address. If you have several domain names on your account, select the domain name under which the email address will be created.
5. Type the password twice.
6. Specify the mailbox size if you want it to be different than the default size as defined by the service provider.
7. Click OK.
Note: Once you have created an email address, you can edit it by clicking on it.

How to delete email account in Plesk

To delete an email address, perform the following steps:
1. Login to your Parallels Plesk Panel.
2. Click on the Mail Tab.
3. Click on the checkbox near the respective mail account you want to delete and click Remove.
4. Click Yes to remove the mail address.
5. You will be shown with the alert message for the deleted email account.

Create Catchall Email Account in Plesk

When e-mail messages are sent to an address under your domain the does not exist, you can choose to redirect them to a single address also known as a catchall.

To specify a catchall e-mail account, perform the following steps :

1. Login to your Parallels Plesk Panel.

2. Click on the Mail Tab and Click Mail Settings.

3. Select “Forward to address” then enter the email want to be sent.

4. Click “OK”.

Tip: Plesk Panel allows you to send a response to incoming emails automatically. This can be useful if you are unavailable or on holiday. Check out How to set up an autoresponder in Plesk Panel.
